Spring Meeting

The Spring Meeting for Clinician Scientists in Training is a unique cross-specialty event designed to bring clinical academic trainees together to present their work, meet one another and network with senior scientists.

The 2016 Spring Meeting was a big success. Please check back around June for information on next year's event.

Are you a clinical academic trainee looking for a chance to present your research, perhaps for the first time? The Spring Meeting is a great opportunity to:

  • Develop your communication skills.
  • Network with senior academics and peers.
  • Raise your profile and build your confidence.
  • Get your abstract published in The Lancet.

The meeting combines oral and poster competitions with inspiring talks from senior scientists and ample networking opportunities. Cash prizes are available for all competitions, including a top prize of £2,500.

You can see a series of videos about the meeting on the Academy’s YouTube channelA summary of recent Spring Meetings, including full lists of winners, videos and podcasts, is available on our website.

The opportunity for networking is extraordinary! I love that the Academy Fellows who attend are the ones who are really interested in the next generation. I had some very inspiring conversations. In general it felt a step change better than last year – very, very impressed by the organisation and speakers. Spring Meeting attendee
