Recent media focus on women in research has created an environment where many are keen to develop practical actions to create real change in the support provided to women working in research.
Many of our Fellows had expresed a desire to be part of this change and to work together to address the challenges facing women working in research.
This enthusiasm for collective action was a great chance to generate lasting improvement and to this end the Academy organised an Open Space meeting for its women Fellows as an opportunity for us all to identify common issues and develop ideas for collective action.
The event took pace on Thursday 12 November at the Academy headquarters.
