Fellows are invited to attend a panel discussion exploring 'The key opportunities and challenges for medical research in Scotland, now and in the next 5 years' with presentations from Academy President, Sir Robert Lechler PMedSci, Dr Catherine Calderwood, Chief Medical Officer for Scotland, Profesor Julie Brittenden, Director of R&D for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Professor Sir Pete Downes OBE FRSE FMedSci, Principal and Vice-Chancellor, University of Dundee.
This free event will take place in Edinburgh and will also offer Fellows an opportunity to meet Academy Officers and members off the Academy's Senior Management team to informally raise issues of local relevance, or to discuss the Fellowship election process and ongoing engagement with the Academy.
The evening will conclude with a complimentary three-course dinner to which Fellows attending are warmly encouraged to invite, as our guests for the evening, an early career colleague from their home institution.
