Founder Fellows Celebration

More than 50 Founder Fellows of the Academy were reunited in October for a celebratory lunch at 41 Portland Place.

Almost 16 years after the Academy's formation, the Founder Fellows came together to hear a talk from Professor Russell Foster FMedSci, elected in 2013, and enjoyed reflections from all four of the Academy's presidents on the Academy's journey from 1998 to the present day.

The lunch also celebrated the launch of the Helix Group, which recognises the contributions of the Academy's most valued supporters. and a commemorative board was unveiled in the Fellows' Room.  The group currently has over 80 members, who contribute £250 or more to the Academy’s work. Members listed on our website here, are publicly recognised on the new commemorative board in the Fellows' Room, at our Annual Meeting, in our Annual Report and Directory, and at events to thank our supporters and benefactors.

We welcome new members and hope that we might reach 100 by Christmas, to join the Helix Group please download and complete our donation form
