Symposium report - Diseases of the developing world: working together to make a difference

Publication Details:

A report on the 'Diseases of the Developing World' symposium co-hosted by the Academy of Medical Sciences, Medical Research Council, Wellcome Trust and GlaxoSmithKline.

The conference highlighted the importance of biomedical partnerships in global health.  Key issues discussed included: the world healthcare challenges faced by neglected diseases and populations, the challenges for conducting research in developing countries and the new partnerships and policy opportunities needed to improve health outcomes.
