Summary:
In October 2006 the Academy responded to the Department for Education and Skills' consultation on the reform of higher education research assessment and funding. The response was prepared in consultation with the Academy's Officers, Sectional Committees and Fellows who had been involved in previous Academy statements on this matter. The response is endorsed by the Academy's Council.
