Do you want to know more about careers in academic medicine? Would you like to develop your network of contacts and support?

This half day event will provide a space for clinical academic trainees to network, learn about local and national opportunities, find out how to to get a mentor and attract funding as well as develop strong connections with your peers and senior academics.

The event is chaired by Professor Paul Stewart FMedSci, Dean of Medicine, University of Leeds, and is open to academic trainees from Foundation Doctors to Clinician Scientists.

Speakers include:

  • Sir Alan Langlands FRSE FMedSci, Vice Chancellor, University of Leeds

  • Professor Debbie Lawlor FMedSci, University of Bristol.

  • Professor John Iredale FRSE FMedSci, Dean of Clinical Medicine, University of Edinburgh

  • Dr James Fenton, Assistant Director, NIHR Trainees Coordinating Centre
