Academic careers

The Academy of Medical Sciences is delighted that the Visiting Lecturer scheme, successfully piloted at Peninsula Medical School, has now been extended to other institutions. Visiting Lectures have taken place over the last 18 months at the University of Liverpool, the University of East Anglia and the University of York.

Academy Fellows, who are leading medical scientists from hospitals and general practice, academia, industry and public service, provide inspirational keynote lectures to medical students, to encourage them to consider a career in academic medicine.
