Are you interested in how women can be more effectively supported while working in research? Are you an early career researcher, balancing your work and home life, and keen to learn about others’ experiences?

Download an agenda.

With talks from Professor John Iredale FRSE FMedSci and Professor Jane Norman FMedSci, as well as workshops on powerful communications and new ways of working, this event is open to all early/mid career researchers and Academy Fellows.

It is an opportunity to explore a wide range of perspectives on gender diversity in the rapidly changing research workplace, and discuss how flexible models of working can benefit your career, with examples from inside and outside the field.

The programme for the day will include:

  • A talk on women in the workplace and the future of work, from Professor Sharon Mavin, Director, University of Roehampton Business School
  • Practical exercises to develop powerful verbal communication skills to support you in getting the most out of meetings and presentations
  • A panel discussion on juggling multiple responsibilities with researchers from a range of disciplines and career stages
  • A networking session with Academy Fellows.

Please register to attend using the form below. The draft programme is available here

This event will be focusing on supporting women in research, but we strongly encourage attendees of all genders to attend.
